Owner operator of Hook 'em Cook 'em, Des Toms, has been a fisherman all his life and a charter boat skipper on Sydney Harbour and The Pittwater for the last ten years.  Des grew up around estuaries and harbours and has studied all the estuary fish species that Australia has on offer.  For each, he knows exactly what techniques to use, the best time and the best tide.  

Des' wealth of knowledge, combined with a strong gut instinct, makes the difference between a fishless day and a successful one! 

A charter with Hook 'em Cook 'em will find you amongst the fish.  You can expect to catch renowned hard fighting Kingfish and the highly sought after mulloway (jewfish) during the summer months, powerful Australian Salmon in winter, tackle-busting snapper, the ever- tasty John Dory, prized bream, flathead and many other species.

Alongside is a prime example of a fine Sydney Harbour snapper caught in October 2007.   

The Boat and Gear: 

The 5 metre Cairns Custom Craft is purpose built for guided fishing and is ideal for fly casting. The vessel is in commercial survey, fully licenced and insured. It is equipped with an electronic fish finder and gps, a live bait tank and built in esky. As well as this the vessel comes with top quality Shimano fishing gear, and a wide range of lures and soft plastics. We also have a range of childrens size life jackets. Toliet stops are easily made at various facilities around the harbour.
