Types of Fishing:

Live Bait Location and Capture.
Catching live bait including Squid, Yellowtail and Slimy Mackerel is an essential and popular part of every trip
 

Trolling.
Knowledge of the bottom structure combined with tidal influence can make this a very productive type of fishing
 

Downrigging.
The boat is fitted with two removable downriggers, with the name of the game to cover ground to find fish. Bait presentation is critical.
 

Light Tackle Spinning.
Using top quality Shimano gear we spin with either metal slugs, soft plastics and sometimes poppers at schools of boiling fish.
 

Berley Trail Fishing.
Find a structure holding fish, get the berley trail going, and fish lightly weighted baits into the frenzy.
 

Live Baiting for Big Fish.
Having the right gear is very important but it is setting your livies at the right depth that is the key to success in this type of fishing.


Fly Fishing.
Using fly rods of 8 weight and above, this form of fishing will really test out the skills of a fishing guide. Line, Fly selection and the correct postitioning of the boat are essential. Fisher and skipper need to work together to maximise the catch in this difficult but highly rewarding sport.
